Kids BJJ Promotions at Harts!

*Parents and guardians, it is up to you if you would like to disclose to your student whether or not they are receiving a promotion. Please do not send any premature congratulations to anyone incase they are yet unaware. (list below)
Minis Promotions are scheduled at regular class time, 10-10:45 am.
The promotions for the Minis will run very much like a traditional class. We are asking students to arrive 5-10 minutes early so that we can begin promptly at 10 am. All of our minis have been working extremely hard and our promotions ceremony will celebrate it by giving out one belt and some degrees at the end of class.
ATTENTION YOUTH MEMBERS, PROMOTIONS START AT 9 am! NINE am. 9 in the morning, not 10. 9. 9am.
Youth Promotions will be more intense than a regular class. Higher belts should be ready to run the warm ups. After the warm ups, students will demonstrate certain techniques in front of the instructors and the families in attendance, including but not limited to break falling, standing in-base, sprawling, shrimping, trap and rolls, bump sweeps and armlocks. Next, everyone’s favorite part, sparring! This portion of promotions is incredibly more rigorous but fun for our students. We try to push their limits before awarding the degrees and belts.
Parents, please help your children prepare by encouraging them to work hard and support their teammates whether they are getting promoted or not. Start to finish, youth promotions should be 2 hours (or so).
Please help the kids by keeping them hydrated in the days leading up to Promotions. Feel free to bring a healthy snack (avoid tree nuts) and don’t forget their water bottle.
